This morning when I arrived at the office, I saw a very young, baby grass snake slithering across the campsite car park and thought i should rescue it before one of our local Jays popped down for breakfast. It took a bit of catching but eventually with the help of a discarded freezer box i managed to tempt him into a high sided container and got a couple of handy snaps. See if you can spot our neighbour in the grass picture.
We have a couple of brilliant reptile boards in the camping meadow and as the season has worn on lots of people have been spotting grass snakes, slow worms and the young adders.
