When we set up the Secret  Campsite in Sussex one of our targets was to create great habitats for a wide range of local wildlife. There are lots if unusual species residing at the campsite but it was particularly gratifying to spot a family of hedgehogs who have take up residence under the Gridshell and reared a little family of hedgehogs.

Lots of campers have watched them walk along the path each evening and we have a few pictures of the happy group on facebook. Tara even set up a footprint tunnel to capture their footprints when they ate some hot dogs that we put out for them one evening.

The picture shows the footprints that Tara got when she set her trap. I have also  included an earlier photo of the hedgehog parent and a picture of Michael Blencowe from Sussex wildlife trust setting the trap at the secret wildlife festival back in the summerhedgehog at the secret campsite
