We have spent the winter renovating the old nursery shop that was used last year by the girls, to run the Secret Teapot cafe that they opened on the campsite last summer. This week we have started the cladding so that we can start to build the new washing up area that is replacing the one we had last year.
I have added a few pictures of the work and will put more up as the work finishes. We will have new sinks with plenty of hot water for washing up and also a couple of fridge freezers for campers to store food and drinks in.
Phone charging for campers phones can be done in the office. With all of our electricity being generated on the barn roof from the solar panels we are very happy to charge phones for free.
There will be a sail awning to cover the washing up area and all of the waste water is treated in our solar powered treatment plant along with all of the sewage from the shower block and toilets.
Tree Tent designer Jason Thawley has been advising me on the building works which should look great once the work is completed although we will no doubt be decorating once the season has got underway. Once the building is ready to use Jason and I start work on the Gridshell structure that replaces the Bell Tent for this seasons camping.
