Following the very successful wildlife weekend that we ran at the campsite with Sussex Wildlife Trust a few weeks ago i wanted to post some of the great pictures that were taken by Ryan and Rachel who ran a number of the events over the weekend.
The campsite is maturing really well and we have some fantastic habitats for a wide range of species to thrive in and i have been planting a few areas with specific animals in mind. I am about to rotovate part of the orchard area as a space for Turtle Doves which are becoming increasingly rare in the UK. The species that we plant will provide a great food source for the doves which are in the Sussex area and we hope to have them join us at the campsite where they will be able to next in a mature area of scrubby hedgerow on the edge of the campsite.
