We have had lots of enquiries from campers who are interested in visiting Sussex and camping at The Secret Campsite over the autumn half term so we thought it would be a good idea to stay open until 29th October. The sounds around the campsite at this time of year are exciting and haunting with the deer rut starting and the screeches from foxes interspersed with the gentle hooting of the Tawny Owls. There are still some sloes to pick in the hedgerows that might have caught the first frosts and the walk up to the Royal Oak in Barcombe for a hearty lunch is invigorating. There is always the south downs to fill your lungs with fresh air blown in from the sea, just visible in the distance.
