The dry Sussex spring has probably been pretty good for the wildlife here at the campsite and so far this season we have seen the following creatures which we have recorded on the recently seen board at Secret Reception. This ever growing list of wildlife around the campsite has included, the adder, slow worms, grass snakes, a hare, Muntjac deer, butterflies, wild garlic, cowslips and primroses, wood anemones, bluebells, the stoat, and this morning frogs.
We manage the vegetation around the secret campsite to enable a diverse range of habitats with areas left to evolve over time before being cut back to enable the process to re start. We are also very lucky to be surrounded by great stands of Sussex ancient woodland and the SNCI that runs through the campsite on the old railway track.
